Behind the Dough

Village Pizza was born from a shared passion for hospitality, great food, and unforgettable experiences.

Village Pizza’s journey began in the late 2000s, with Darren and Andres embarking on their hospitality careers across Europe and the Americas.

Fast forward to 2015 when their paths crossed while shaking & pouring drinks at one of Brisbane’s iconic Eagle Street Pier venues.

Though their careers took them in different directions—one into the hospitality corporate world, the other with small businesses across QLD & VIC—they remained best mates with a passion for hospo & a drive to create something of their own.

The missing ingredient? Phoenix, our pizza expert with over 5 years of experience crafting delectable pizzas in both family-run and corporate kitchens. His depth of knowledge & passion for his product has sparked Village Pizza into what it is today.

We’re excited to be growing our small team with local staff and can’t wait to share our passion for great food with our Samford community.
